As we reflect on an impactful year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for being part of this incredible journey. In 2025, we invested in what we do best: creating meaningful pathways for African writers through mentorship. This focus allowed us to remain grounded as we strengthened strategic partnerships, cultivated engagement within our writer community, and set the foundation for long-term sustainability.

Our impact reaffirmed our vision for 2030: to extend the Sprinng Writing Fellowship across every African country and sustainably support annual cohorts of 50+ mentees and mentors—fostering an inclusive literary ecosystem.

This year, 49 writers graduated from the Sprinng Writing Fellowship, and 7 out of 10 writers from our Advancement Fellowship secured fully funded scholarships to pursue MFAs in Creative Writing at leading international universities. We partnered with MasterClass to expand our fellowship resources by providing 154 mentees, mentors, and alumni with one year of free access to the MasterClass platform. We also received a professional development grant from the Maryland State Arts Council, which supported our leadership team to engage with learning opportunities that strengthen the vision and long-term direction of our work.

As we approach our 10th anniversary in 2026, our priorities are clearer than ever:

  • Expand awareness of Sprinng’s work

  • Secure resources to sustain our impact

  • Cultivate partnerships that empower our community

Your generosity has brought us this far, and your continued support will take us even further. We invite you to Sprinng with us and support our work at sprinng.org/donate.

We look forward to another year of growth, success, and celebration with you.

With gratitude,
The Sprinng Board
