Sprinng’s 2024 Annual Report

As we reflect on an extraordinary year of growth and achievement, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to you for being part of this incredible journey.

This year, Sprinng marked its 8th anniversary, reaching new milestones and expanding the impact of our programs. We are also proud to share that we officially registered Sprinng Inc. as a nonprofit this year to better position our community for a strategic and sustainable future.

We are deeply thankful for the continued support that has allowed us to make meaningful contributions to the African literary community. We thank our donors, partners, collaborators, mentors, alumni community, and followers for your unwavering commitment to helping us grow.

True to our mission, we remain dedicated to nurturing and spotlighting African writers, ensuring their voices are celebrated nationally and globally. In 2025, our focus is to streamline our work and invest more of our effort into what we do best—creating pathways for African writers through dedicated mentorship. We are moving forward with much intentionality as we have done in the past.

We have accomplished several milestones across many programs in the past 8 years, such as the Sprinng Women Authors Prize (SWAP), the Sprinng Advancement Fellowship (SAF), the Nigerian Writers Database, and the Annual Poetry Contest. In 2025, we will continue achieving similar success in uplifting writers as we streamline our work to the Sprinng Writing Fellowship, where we have paired 360+ writers to 180+ mentors over 8 cohorts since 2018.

Our vision for 2030 is to extend our writing fellowship to all African countries and sustainably support annual cohorts of 50+ mentees and mentors, creating a vibrant and inclusive literary community that uplifts African writers.

Your generous donations and sponsorships are essential in fueling our progress. With your help, we are equipped with the resources needed to further our mission and achieve our goals. Please visit sprinng.org/donate today to support.

Thank you for Sprinnging with us! We look forward to another year of inspiring growth and continued impact.

Sincerely,
The Sprinng Board
