The Nigerian Writers Database

Launched on the 1st of January 2019, the SprinNG team built the first online database for Nigerian writers, which hosted their biographies, blog links, and social media accounts. In addition to finding the names of these writers, we empowered our readers to search for information per theme or genre and make new connections. 

The Nigerian Writers Database hosted over 500 Biographies between 2019 and July 2023. However, Sprinng has decided to focus on its other initiatives, driving continuous impact within the African Literary space. Hence, we have decided to discontinue our existing database. Please note that no new biographies will be added, nor will existing ones be updated.

We understand that this ending may cause inconvenience for some of our users, and we sincerely apologize. We encourage you to use the existing resources on our website – www.sprinng.org to keep Sprinnging with us!
